Peru Wants To Have The Rally Dakar In 2012

The Dakar is arousing great interest among the countries of South America, who have discovered the value that brings a career like this and in this case been Peru who are interested to be a part of the career. America is a continent full of possibilities for the Dakar Rally. Firmly settled in Argentina and Chile, two countries of great dimensions and marked stability, there are other South American Nations that have been in the race a horizon of possibilities in many areas. If there was already speculation with the approach to Bolivia and Brazil in future editions, now is the Government of Peru who has publicly expressed interest in the race. The Peruvian President, Alan Garcia, has confirmed that his Government has initiated efforts to ASO to join the race in 2012. At the moment, Peru has already taken a first step by launching its first international rally, the inter-oceanic Rally, which will depart from Urcos (Peru) with destination to Rio Branco (Brazil), from 19 to 23 January 2011, a few days after the end of the Dakar Rally..
